Bon Voyage Cruises and Vacations Relocating to New Location

Bon Voyage Cruises and Vacations, Inc. opened their doors in October of 1997 in Waterford Wisconsin. An accredited full-service travel agency and vacation care concierge service, Bon Voyage specializes in all-inclusive trips and cruises, as well as destination weddings, honeymoons, and anniversaries, Disney vacations, group travel experiences, and more. They hold memberships with American Society of Travel Agents, International Association of Travel Agents, Cruise Lines International Association, Airlines Reporting Corporation, Vacations.com, and Womens Business Enterprise National Council.

With headquarters at 116 N. Main Street in the Village of Waterford, previously purchased with assistance from BLP, Bon Voyage has now opened its second location in the Village of Union Grove in December of 2016 in a rental space in the Community State Bank building. Owned by Kari Mullikin, this business is continually growing. With the growth, the rental space didn’t supply the needed space. Thus, Bon Voyage purchased on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 a 3,775 square foot building located at 1014 Main Street in Union Grove. This building will provide the needed space for Bon Voyage while also housing a residential unit and a commercial space/store front. The new location will offer increased visibility of the business planning to add 2 new positions to support its growth.

“With sincere thanks please accept my gratitude for all that Karmin, Carolyn and the board at Business Lending Partners did to bring my latest Union Grove project to fruition. Business can take on a life of its own and in my case expanding the footprint of Bon Voyage World Travel Experts required swift action.  Offer date to closing date was approximately 21 days, typically unheard of in traditional lending and even more so with multiple parties involved.  Working with the revolving loan fund previously was of help on this project.  Your team is professional, helpful and diligent in their efforts to assist business owners with growth.  I am proud to be a part of Racine County and look forward to future opportunities together.” said Kari Mullikin.

With guidance from BLP and Community State Bank, Bon Voyage was able to purchase the new location with the use of a Racine County Loan Fund. This fund provides financing to small businesses providing the benefit of reducing the borrower’s equity requirement in building or equipment purchases and provides attractive rates and terms to assist growing businesses.

Bon Voyage was also able to obtain funds through local community storefront programs, the rent assistance program and the façade grant program offered by the Village of Union Grove. The rent-assistance programs intended to assist businesses, and provide incentives to businesses to establish a location on Main Street in the Village of Union Grove. Bon Voyage also received the Façade Improvement Grant, which they will use for signage. These programs support the property owners and businesses, and enhance the business district’s atmosphere.

“Our investment in seemingly surface improvements such as a new paint job, or signage and financial assistance with rents are transforming how people feel about Village's main street, inspiring new patronage and new investment,” said Gordon Svendsen, CDA Chairman. “We are pleased we could assist Bon Voyage in securing a permanent home in our community.”
